Gordan Torbica (47) has been appointed as Chief Risk, Technology & Operations Officer to the board of directors of the private bank Hauck Aufhäuser Lampe, effective October 1, 2023, by the supervisory board. In this role, he will succeed Robert Sprogies (60), who will step down from the board after many years of service but will continue to be available to the bank as head of the risk and credit department. The change is part of a long-term succession plan. Torbica is a graduate in business administration and has been with Hauck Aufhäuser Lampe since 2011, following stints at management consultancies and a private bank. Most recently, Torbica served as General Attorney in the roles of Chief Operations Officer/Chief Risk Officer (COO/CRO). He has extensive knowledge of the bank’s risk profile, processes, and IT, and has led various strategic change projects. For example, Torbica was responsible as program manager for the successful integration of Hauck & Aufhäuser and Bankhaus Lampe, ensuring the smooth merging of the IT landscapes of both institutions. His future responsibilities will include strategic projects, the expansion of forward-looking banking processes and modern IT, as well as the responsibility for the bank’s risk areas. Sprogies has been with the bank since 2002, where he has held various positions including head of corporate secretary, legal, compliance, human resources, public relations & marketing, and special clients. Since September 2019, he has been a member of the board and is responsible, among other things, for the finance, credit, risk, compliance, in-house consulting, IT management, and operations departments.
